Seven Card Stud

How to Play Seven Card Stud

Seven Card Stud is an ante game so every player must bet a small amount, which is usually a fifth of the small limit. The dealer starts with dealing the flop, two cards face down and one card face up, beginning with the player to his left. The player with the lowest up card is required to make a forced bet, called the bring-in. It is usually half of the small limit. Betting continues to the left

The dealer then deals the fourth street card face up to each player still active. Betting begins with the player holding the highest card and moves clockwise. The fifth street card is then dealt face up, followed by another betting round beginning with the person with the highest card. The sixth street deal and betting round assumes the same rules as fifth street.

The seventh and final card is dealt face down followed by the final betting round. In the Showdown, players turn their cards over the dealer who determines the winner holding the best five-card hand.
