Promotions - Heads-up World Championship

On May the 24th – 25th, Full Tilt Poker will play host to one of the most generously prize-pooled online poker events ever: the Heads-Up world Championship will be hosted by poker legend Chris Ferguson, and will feature players like Phil Ivey, Jennifer Harman and Howard Lederer. If you ever dreamt about measuring up to some of the top players of the professional poker world, here’s your chance. It won’t be cheap though, because the direct buy-in is a pretty solid $25k, but if you want to play with the best, you obviously need to rise to their level.

Don’t worry if you do not have enough money in your Full Tilt bankroll either. There are exclusive $500+$35 qualifiers running for the event, which might secure you a much cheaper seat. Whether you register directly or obtain your seat via the aforementioned qualifier, you will not be allowed to un-register. This measure is meant to make sure that the event will not be messed up by people who make their minds up in the last minute. Since the Full Tilt Heads-up World Championship will feature a single elimination heads-up structure, the number of participating players is extremely rigid: it has to be a power of two (16, 32 or 64 etc) in order for the pair-ups to click.

In that respect, those who register last run the risk of being manually unregistered by Full Tilt Poker, to round the number down. Those who are unregistered will get their buy-in back in their accounts in the currency they paid in. If you want to make your mark and become known in the poker world, you’ll hardly find a better opportunity than this one here.
